Hearing aid styles are small and discrete

HEARING AID

STYLES

Today’s hearing aid styles are remarkably discreet, often smaller than a watch battery! Even behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing devices are smaller than ever before while some custom style hearing devices can be 100% invisible.

Getting ready

Are you ready for hearing aids? If results of your hearing tests indicate a hearing loss, hearing aids may be recommended. However, it’s essential to prepare yourself before being fitted.

One of the key factors that determines successful outcomes and the effectiveness of hearing aids is acceptance of your hearing loss and acknowledging the impact it may be having on your life and your relationships.

Your Choice of Style

Invisible-in-the-Canal (IIC) Hearing aid style

Invisible-in-the-Canal (IIC)

The smallest in custom style solutions today, IIC hearing aids sit deep and invisibly in the ear canal. They are individually crafted to anatomy and curvature of your ears for a perfectly and comfortable fit. Providing absolute discretion, this style is specifically designed for mild to moderate hearing loss.
Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) Hearing aid style

Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC)

One of the smallest custom style hearing aids, the CIC style fits deep in the ear canal. They are recommended for mild to moderate hearing losses and offer high cosmetic appeal with their discreet feature of being almost invisible when worn.
In-the-Canal (ITC) Hearing aid style

In-the-Canal (ITC)

The ITC hearing aid style sits in the lower section of your outer ear making them comfortable, quick, easy to insert and remove from your ear. Because they are slightly larger than CIC models, they have a longer battery life and can be recommended to fit mild and moderate hearing losses.
 In-the-Ear (ITE) Hearing aid style

In-the-Ear (ITE)

Full shell models sit flat in the outer ear. Their size can allow the option for additional controls and features such as directional microphones, program switches and volume control. They use a larger battery size, generally have much more power and can be recommended for people who have a mild to severe hearing loss.
Slim Tube Behind-the-Ear (BTE) Hearing aid style

Slim Behind-the-Ear (BTE)

Behind-the-Ear (BTE) models sit behind the ear. A slim tube allows sounds to travel down into the ear which connects to an ear tip or dome to secure the hearing aid. This is a discreet option.
Behind-the-Ear (BTE)

Behind-the-Ear (BTE)

Behind-the-Ear (BTE) models sit behind the ear. Specialist tubing allows sounds to travel down into the ear which connects to a custom ear mould to secure the hearing aid.
Receiver-in-the-Ear (RITE) Hearing aid style

Receiver-in-the-Ear (RITE)

Also called a Receiver-in-the-Canal (RIC), this style has two parts: the sound processor and the receiver. The sound processor is enclosed in a small unnoticeable housing that sits behind your ear. A wire inside a clear narrow tube follows the ear and leads to a small ear soft ear dome that holds the receiver that fits directly into your ear canal.
